You cannot submit NDIS claims fully automatically — participants must manually submit claims through the myNDIS Participant Portal. How long does NDIS self-management admin take each week?
This varies depending on how many providers and invoices you're managing. Without a dedicated system, many self-managers report spending several hours per week on invoice processing, claim submission, and payment tracking. One Capsure user — a parent managing plans for three children — reduced her admin time from around 10 hours per week to about one hour.
What records do I need to keep as an NDIS self-manager?
Self-managed NDIS participants are required to keep invoices, payment evidence (such as bank statements), and any relevant service agreements for all supports claimed. Records must be kept for a minimum of five years and must be available for review if the NDIA conducts an audit. Capsure stores all invoice records automatically in a searchable, filterable table.
Is Capsure available on mobile?
Yes. Capsure is mobile-responsive and can be used on any smartphone or tablet browser. The Claim Wizard auto-fill feature is currently available on desktop and laptop computers running Google Chrome only. A native mobile app is in development.
Can nominees use Capsure to manage an NDIS plan?
Yes. Capsure is designed for both self-managed participants and their nominees — including parents managing plans for children, guardians, and other appointed representatives. Nominees managing plans for multiple participants can use Capsure to keep each person's invoices and records separately organised within a single account.
